CIBC Caribbean honours three Bahamian teachers with loan relief, staycations and classroom cash

CIBC Caribbean surprised three Bahamian educators with reward packages ahead of World Teachers’ Day, covering a month of loan payments, funding a staycation and providing classroom support.Brenda Watkins, Omar Sharpe and Vashte Nairn each received one month of their loan payment covered by the bank, $1,000 toward a staycation and $500 to invest in their classroom. Terrance Gibson, CIBC Caribbean’s head of country, said the initiative was an opportunity to turn appreciation into something tangible, adding that teachers “spend so much of their lives pouring into others.”
