KINGSTON, Jamaica — The countdown to the Scream Halloween 5 Festival is heating up with a special movie night featuring Obsession on Thursday, October 22, at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge in Kingston.
Set to begin at 8:00 pm, the Espolòn Tequila-sponsored event will serve as a lead-up experience to the Scream Halloween 5 Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, at Mas Camp, organisers say. The festival is described as the Caribbean's ultimate Halloween festival, and organisers say Scream continues to build excitement around the season with experiences that bring together entertainment, nightlife and the spirit of Halloween.
The screening offers patrons an opportunity to embrace the suspense and thrills of the season while counting down to the festival's main event. Organisers say the partnership with Ribbiz Ultra Lounge provides a setting where cinema and social entertainment come together, giving patrons another reason to get into the Halloween spirit ahead of the main festival.
Keanu Laing, co-director of Scream Halloween Festival, said the movie night is designed to draw patrons deeper into the Scream experience. "Scream Halloween is about creating memorable experiences that capture the excitement, creativity, and spirit of Halloween. Our Obsession movie night is another way to bring patrons into the Scream experience and build anticipation for what we have in store on October 31 at Mas Camp," Laing said.
Brian Chung, co-founder of Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, said the venue is looking forward to hosting the festival's patrons. Beyond the movie night, Scream Halloween 5 Festival has partnered with local costume stores Kitty Designs, Fete Essenz and Party Experience to offer exclusive discounts to patrons who present proof of ticket purchase for the festival. The discounts are 30 per cent at Kitty Designs, 15 per cent at Fete Essenz and 20 per cent at Party Experience, according to the organisers.
The main festival is set for Saturday, October 31, at Mas Camp. Organisers say further details of what is in store for that staging will be revealed as the countdown continues.
